Hanna and more VA pictures

Mermaid Erin

On the USS Wisconsin. (downtown Norfolk)

Ahhh, too bad she's camera shy! (at Virginia Beach)

Looking across the river from Portsmouth to Norfolk

Still trying to perfect her mermaid moves (in downtown Norfolk)!

Well we survived TS Hanna last night. It actually ended up hitting us pretty darn hard. According to the news, the coast didn't get alot of rain and instead we got it. Nearly 5 inches here in Fayetteville. Lots of flooding and power outages. Fortunately we escaped all of that in our neighborhood. And I'll sleep well tonight knowing that Ike is not headed our way.

We took a ton of pictures from our trip last weekend, so above are some more. We stayed on the Norfolk Naval Station. It was only $25 a night, and it was pretty darn nice....we've definately spent alot more for places that were ALOT worse. It ended up only being about 25 minutes to VA Beach, and as it turns out, we didn't really think there was that much to do in Virginia Beach. So I think we were just as glad to stay somewhere else and explore a little. We'd love to go back and spend some time in Williamsburg, and are glad to have found a cheap place to stay!
