Erin's Harvest Party

All the first grade classes at Erin's school had a Harvest Party on Friday. Erin insisted on dressing up as a pilgrim (despite the fact that this was not a costume party). She was so excited to wear this costume! She was the only one dressed up at school that day, and she couldn't have been happier. I sent in extra clothes for her in case hauling that dress around all day became too much, or if it became a distraction in class. When I got to the school that afternoon for the party she had changed clothes. Her teacher said she had kept it on the whole day, but after lunch she was getting hot and uncomfortable. I was very impressed that she lasted that long!
Erin got the prized spot next to the teepee when they sang!
While we were in the classroom it dawned on me that Jason has never seen her new class, so I've included pictures from her classroom too.

Erin wouldn't smile for the photo because she said "Pilgrims don't smile!"

The biggest change is that they have real desks this year.

Happy Halloween!

Erin had a great Halloween! Although it was insanely humid here, I'm pretty sure she hit every house in the neighborhood. She caught up with some friends at the start of the evening so they all went out together. Between the humidity and her not being able to keep her hands away from her face...her makeup came off pretty quickly!

She just wouldn't stop touching her face!!

She really wanted to be a scary witch..!

Tea Party

Erin had a very busy Halloween! She started the day at a Girl Scout Tea Party hosted by an older Girl Scout troop. The girls got to dress up and have little sandwiches, tea, fruit and cookies (Girl Scout, of course!). They also had activities for the girls to do after the tea. Erin had a great time!
