The Marathon Begins.....

Hope everyone survived Turkey Day, and is ready for the Marathon that the world refers to as the "Christmas Season."

We are so busy over the next week or so that it makes my head hurt to think about it. Two Army balls, Commander's Reception, Kindergarten performance at Erin's school (sooooo can't wait for that! It should be priceless!), unit holiday party, spouses day out (the brigade commander's wife is taking us all for pedicures and brunch...how cool is that?), Erin has her first birthday sleep-over, and we're going to a tree lighting tonight. Not to mention all the baking, shopping and decorating that has to be done. I'll never understand why we claim this is the time to spend with families....we just seem to run around like maniacs 'preparing' to spend time with families. But when that "quality" time finally arrives all we want to do is pass out!

I sound like I'm complaining, but I'm not. I'm honestly just thrilled we're finally not moving during Christmas (although it did make things alot easier!)

Here's a picture of our little turkey!
