Deja vu...all over again

This morning we all got up early to go with Jason so he could run a race. So, as Erin and I always do, we wished Jason well and then we set off to find someplace to grab breakfast while he runs (makes sense....he runs, we eat!) I kept time on my watch and as it got close to his finish time we walked to the finish line. I had this odd thought go through my mind..."I wonder if he had my cell phone number on the back of his running bib in case something happens." Truly an odd thought because he frequently runs races, and oftentimes they do have to list a contact number somewhere.

Call it women's intuition, or just the luck of the draw, but as Erin and I approached the finish line a man walks up to me and says "are you Lisa?" And my response sounded something like "oh shit, what happened?" I look over and there Jason is, sitting in a chair with his leg propped up and ice on his foot. He had rolled his ankle in the first mile! Ugh! The boy has no luck!!!!

We went to the hospital and it's not broken, just a sprain with the usual ice, elevate, motrin routine. He's lucky I saved his crutches because they didn't have any in his size at the hospital(he insisted I throw them away when we did our "moving cleanse". I however argued...you're going back to jump out of airplanes, I'm sure you will need them!)

Much like the "Nags Head puddle incident of 2003," he hurt the same foot, in the same spot that he broke then. Ahhh the excitement. Lucky for him I had my camera with me to capture it all...hee hee. Here are some pre and post injury photos!

The race was the "running of the bulls"....maybe we can tell everyone the bull got Jason!Post injury icing

Maybe you should get a close up of the foot, cuz it really doesn't look that bad from my view. Ha ha, glad I don't have that issue of hurting myself running, that's why I don't run.......Lisa, make sure you wait on him.

Kellee....did you read your list...you used to run pretty well. I however have never been good and am happy to wish Jason...better luck next time. It makes me limp just to think about it. Glad it's not broken.
