Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you all have great weather for trick-or-treating!
Last night we went to Disney on Ice and it was a ball! The performance was really good, I was totally shocked at how good the skaters were! Not to mention the usual "over-the-top" way that Disney does everything.
Here are some of the photos from the evening. Obviously some of them aren't fabulous because of the lighting, distance, moving targets....and the camera operator!

Erin's cheerleading debut
Surprise, Surprise! We're back! I've not posted anything in awhile, I know. Sorry, the combination of me being a procrastinator combined with the fact that my computer and camera have stopped talking to each other were like a 1-2 punch. So I finally took my camera to Wally World and had them download everything to discs. So expect to see alot more updates in the coming weeks (with much out-dated photos!!)
This first one is for Jason because I know he's just dying to see these!
As many of you know, this summer Erin decided that her fall "sport" would be cheerleading. It should be obvious that neither Jason nor I suggested this "sport" nor did we encourage her in any way. She is, however, quite determined and insisted that a cheerleader she would be. She's only been at it a couple of weeks, and the program is strictly instructional. However, last weekend she attended a cheerleading camp put on by one of the local high school's cheerleading squad. All the girls who attended the camp were invited to come the following week to that high school's homecoming game and cheer with the varsity cheerleaders. Erin, to put it bluntly, thought she was "the shit." It was alot of fun (can't remember the last time I went to a high school football game) and Erin was so excited! So pop some popcorn and grab an adult beverage and enjoy the photos and videos below! (by the way, those have got to be the ugliest cheerleading uniforms I have ever seen!)

Must be time to move.....
So as Erin and I were cleaning her room this morning we started also cleaning the thick layer of pollen out of the window sills. I hope that part of spring is over. What a yucky mess. So then I cleaned the blinds in the windows, then I cleaned the inside of the windows. It was then that I realized that the outside of the windows were a mess. So out come the screens so I can start cleaning windows. After I got done having a silent conversation with my grandfather (he was always the window cleaner) I realized that it was time to move. We've never really lived anywhere long enough that I've had to do this. Whah, Whah, Whah is what I'm hearing from long-term homeowners right now, I know. What I will say to you is that packing up everything you own, cancelling all your services, moving to some unknown (and often-times, god-forsacken) place with just a few days to find a new place to live, find your way around, set up all the "services" and unpack everything you own....every 12-18 months more than makes up for my little bit of self-indulgent whining. So keep your "whah, whah, whahing" to yourself. :) Hee hee
I will try to get some new pictures up by the end of the weekend!
Happy spring everyone!

Ice Skating
Erin took ice skating lessons in January....a bold move considering she is easily one of the most uncoordinated people I've met. So that alone should explain the "battle gear" she's got on. We started with nothing, then the first time she fell and smacked her head we added the helmet. It pretty quickly became clear that I either needed to pad her up well, or expect a call from social services asking about all the bruises. Here she is ready to go into "battle."
Anticipation
We (and by "we," I mean "I") haven't posted lately because there just isn't much going on. We are currently living in anticipation of Jason's next "thing." The last month or so he has been in and out of the field, back and forth to Fort Polk (soon to be headed back again) and all the while we are awaiting a final decision on his upcoming deployment.
Where is he going and when, you ask? Excellent question. The plan has changed too many times to count. I was talking to Shanon the other day and said that I wish I didn't know he was deploying. All of you military wives will understand when I say this, but I am tired of "anticipating" something that may not even come until the end of summer. I constantly feel like we're on borrowed time. We aren't able to make plans for block leave (military speak for "vacation") because we don't know when or if they'll even get it. There is definately something to be said for a short notice deployment.
I'm hiding under my desk as I type because I know those of you with deployed spouses want to throw a tomato at me for whining about how tough it must be to have my husband here. I love that he's here, I just need to find a way to make it feel like he's here. This "one foot in the door, one foot out" thing is getting old! Any advice?
